Full-time Carpenter:

Middle River Builders is hiring for a full-time carpentry position. All jobs are within one hour of Machias. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience working as a residential carpenter.  Job requirements are a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and basic hand tools. We are looking for someone with at least intermediate knowledge of all basic tools and techniques for repairing and building houses. Including knowledge of skill saw, table saw, chop saw, drill and driver, etc.  Skills wanted include framing, sheathing, siding, roofing, insulation, windows, doors, trim, etc.  This is a unique opportunity for a carpenter to start with a younger company and learn new skills and products. Pay is hourly, based on experience, $20-25 dollars an hour. Raises can be earned beyond initial pay scale with increased skills and responsibilities. Middle River Builders is hiring for a full-time Laborer/Apprentice Carpenter position. All jobs are within one hour of Machias. The ideal candidate will have some experience working a physical job. Job requirements are a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic who wants to learn new skills. Job duties will include set up, break down, and maintenance of carpentry equipment and tools, cleaning and organizing the jobsite, and assisting the carpenters with all of their tasks. This is a unique opportunity for someone to start with a younger company and learn new skills. You will be trained in all aspects of residential carpentry. Pay is hourly, based on experience, $18-21 dollars an hour.
